Updated: Jul 24, 2022

Literal translation from the Greek:

Revelation 8

and when He opened up the seventh seal it was silent in heaven, like half an hour

and I saw seven messengers stand before God and they were given seven trumpets

and another messenger came and stood upon the altar holding a golden censer and much incense was given to him so as to grant(approve) the prayers of all the holy ones upon the golden altar before the Throne

and the incense smoke of the prayers of the holy ones went up from the hand of the messenger before God

and the messenger took the censer and filled it from the fire of the altar and threw it onto the earth and there was sounds of thunders and lightnings and an earthquake

and the seven messengers who held the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound the trumpets

and the first messenger sounded and hail came and lightning(fire) mixed with(or resembling) blood and he threw it onto the earth the third of the trees was burnt up and all (yellowish)pale vegetation was burnt up

and the second messenger sounded and as a great mountain of lightning set on fire he threw it into the sea and a third of the sea appeared as blood

and a third of the creatures that have a soul that are in the sea died off and the third of the vessels(boats, ships) were destroyed

and the third messenger sounded and a great star lit up like a lamp falling from heaven and fell upon a third of the streams(rivers & creeks) and upon the water springs

and the name of the star is called wormwood(bitterness) and it happened that a third of the water became bitter(as wormwood) and many people died from the waters because they were made bitter

and the fourth messenger sounded and he struck the third of the sun and the third of the moon and the third of the stars so that the third of them darkened and the third of the day had no light nor the night

and I saw and heard one messenger flying in the midst of heaven saying with a loud voice, alas, alas, alas those of the remnant who dwell on earth, the sound of the trumpets of the three messengers are about to sound
