Revelation chapter 15

Updated: Jul 24, 2022

Literal translation of the Greek:

Revelation 15

1 and I saw another wonder(sign) in the heaven seven great and wonderful(marvellous) messengers holding the seven calamities(plagues) of the end because in them the wrath of God is fulfilled(completed, finished)

2 and I saw the glassy sea appearing as(mimicking) fire and those who overcame the beast and his image(false god) and his etched mark and the number of his name standing upon the glassy sea holding harps of God

3 and they sang the song of Moshe the servant of God and the song of the Lamb saying, great and wonderful(marvellous) are Your works Lord the Almighty God, just and true, Your ways are the King of the holy ones

4 Who does not fear You Lord and glorify Your Name because Yours alone is holy so that all the tribes(nations, gentiles) come and adore(worship) before Your face(or in Your presence) so that Your judgements are apparent

5 and with that I looked and saw the temple open up, the tabernacle of testimony(witness) in the heaven

6 and the seven messengers came out holding the seven calamities(plagues) from the temple clothed in pure linen and shining(bright) and having round about the chest golden belts

7 and one of the four beings gave the seven messengers seven golden bottles full of the wrath of God Who lives into the ages the ages(forever)

8 and the temple filled with the smoke of the glory of God and from His power and none were able to enter into the temple until the seven calamities(plagues) and the seven messengers were finished.
